Celena

Development started on Celena (Linux Mint 3.1). The main goals for this release are:

  • To improve the base system (additional system tweaks and redefinition of the software selection, new tools/packages to be included)
  • To introduce mintAssistant which will let the user fine-tune the system
  • To introduce mintServe which will let the user "serve" files (similar to file-sending in IRC/DCC or MSN Messenger)
  • To introduce mintUpload which will let the user seemlessly upload files on the internet and send links to them by email.
  • To introduce a new theme in addition to the Cassandra/Bianca Blue/Green themes.

MintUpload and mintAssistant are nearly ready and were released in Romeo. MintServe is being developed at the moment.
