How to Add the Trash Can to Your Mint KDE CE Desktop

Create a text file on your Desktop by right-clicking on it and pointing to Create New > Text File. Open this file and paste the following in the file: 

   [Desktop Entry]
   Comment=Contains removed files
   EmptyIcon=trashcan_empty
   Encoding=UTF-8
   Icon=trashcan_full
   Name=Trash
   Type=Link
   URL=trash:/

Save the file as Trash.desktop and close it. You should have the Trash icon. Now go into System Settings>Appearance & Themes>Icon>Advanced and set the icon to your desired size.
