I'm with you. Cassie KDE made me love KDE, which I previously didn't like at all (I still hate all those 'k' though...) :D
Thus, CassGnome is on my desktop, and CassKDE on my laptop

I would love all the Mint tools too but I do not have time to convert then to KDE/Qt.

If someone out there has python and Qt skills they could join the dev team to port the Mint tools to KDE/Qt (or at least to KDE to start).

:D

well the first step would be to convert the mint scripts to run on KDE. there are some config changes between Gnome and KDE.

the GTK interface will run on KDE but ultimately converting them to Qt would be cool and look better.

so when i get some time i will look into the script side working with KDE fully.

but i am looking into the partition setup in ubiquity when i have time at the moment.

I did attempt to put mintDisk on KDE CE but it came up with an error about locales.
This was right after 3.0 was released, so I don't remember the error.
It would work if I used sudo to run the command after login, but needed to use kdesu dolphin to have permissions for the hard drives.
I don't have KDE CE as I am testing Celena BETA 021 and working on the XFCE CE version.
I hope more mint tools could be added to KDE CE. :)

so the plan is I will upload 1 KDE Celena beta.

then I will work on porting mint apps for mint 4.

If the KDE beta does not go gold there will be no second beta for Celena.

mint apps for KDE is my next priority.

cheers
