@ Clem
It still looks as mintInstall is frozen for so long time that one is tempted to abort

I'll put that in an update so everybody will pick this up automatically while upgrading mintInstall.

I have enabled java by selecting Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Content > Enable Java.

Under Java options us this Directory.
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.00/jre/lib/i386/
Click OK.
Now restart Opera
Test Java at this page.

aapiethaaap,
Could u add sauerbraten, u really have to be good at linux to get it instald so this as .mint would be great (if i could id do it myself)
I think I tried that install with SuSE and Ubuntu. I think that is no longer supported.

The question that I'd like to ask is what repositories that I can add.

Meanwhile, I use Automatix to add a few things, but rather than the "Portal" where are the repos that you can add to Synaptic?

I noticed that Evolution isn't available, 3-D chess, and other Linux 3-Games also.

I do like the Mint, -- love it -- but adding a few repos, might be a good idea.

Adding Beryl is a great plus for those that haven't tried it before, especially with an ATI card. I'm now running an NVidia Notebook because of a PC meltdown, and the Linux Mint install of restricted drivers helped me greatly.

Changes were made on the portal:

- It doesn't link to external resources anymore (which is good for everybody and also makes the portal faster to browse).

- It now features screenshots for all applications.

clem,

I think I understand the thinking here with the Portal now.

It sort of makes my posting seem silly. Sorry about that!

I noticed the same in installing Skype with mintInstall.

What about adding Lightscribe to the portal? Lightscribe is a nightmare to get from the authors site.
