Software Portal request

PROZILLA v-1.3.6

- ProZilla is a multithreaded download accelerator for Linux which supports
both HTTP and FTP protocols.

- It makes multiple connections to the server
and downloads the file in portions, thus giving a much better speed rate
than the conventional download programs which use a single connection.

- Resuming connections is fully supported and customizable.

Terminal command to launch ProZilla:

Code: Select all

'sudo proz'
example of command to download package:

Code: Select all

sudo proz -v -f -s url_of_download_site
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have used ProZilla with other distros and it is fast. The down side of it is not being developed anymore, they are looking for a programmer. Interested anyone ???? I love it just the way it is, and have not found any user's that was not happy with it. It just plain does the job of what is expected from it.....fast and not buggy
It's an interesting idea... however I think I'd rather give that ability to mintInstall rather than the portal. What if mintInstall was letting you "queue" mint files instead of installing them straiht away (as in a playlist)... and you could even queue the whole thing as a new mint file?
Very interesting idea.
