What steps are you using to install flash?
Are you trying the one in synaptic or from the adobe site?

The one ins synaptic won't work cause adobe removed the file from their server.
You could use the one from the romeo repo, since that's the latest version it is still on the server.

You need to use file-roller to extract files.
Make sure it's using file-roller to open the file.

sorry to but in on your post but by chance do you have the latest link for flash player? i have tried everything and im getting a little upset with my computer
