Adobe Flash Crashing Firefox After 10.0.0.d525 upgrade

I upgraded Flash to the latest version: 10.0.0 d525. To get it working I had to uninstall the old Flash 9 & 10 using the Synaptic package manger, as 10.0.0.218 was still loading even though I installed 10.0.0.d525. The only problem is that Firefox now crashes randomly on pages with Flash. This happened to with 10.0.0.218, but was later somehow fixed. Does anyone have an idea about how I can go about fixing this problem?

10.0.0.d525 is beta I think
For me 10.0.0.b525 works well

Just want to add that d525 is working perfectly in the XFCE version of Mint. I can now play videos full screen!

That seemed like a nice idea! I'm having terrible trouble with FF crashing constantly:

The program 'firefox' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadIDChoice (invalid resource ID chosen for this connection)'.

I know problems like this are usually extensions, but I've stripped them out, with no difference (except to the usability of the Web without NoScript and AdBlock :-/), so I'm looking at plugins now...

This might be a good test If I must look at Flash, I'll open it in Seamonkey. I'd appreciate some other suggestions, otherwise, very soon now I'll be dumping either FF3 or Elyssa

The download.macromedia.com server is not configured right it seems so you get a 404 for anything from that server

Great. So Mint's flashplugin-nonfree package, amongst others, is broken now.

Forgive me if I think a RC is hardly a new version. And forgive me for wanting the whole thing to be handled by the package manager (aptitude or synaptic, I'm easy); isn't that part of the appeal of Mint?

Also It's not Firefox that is causing the crash it's adobe.

I'm interested to hear how you know that... but it may be true, Firefox has only crashed once since I removed Flash in accordance with the advice in this thread. All the more reason then to not install the RC A pox on these closed formats and secret binaries!
