I like making video projects, using formats such as .flv, .avi and yes even .wmv but there's a problem - I can't seem to find any video editing software that works for these formats in Linux. Yes, I've tried Kino, but that's for camcorder videos (i.e., .dv format) and Open Movie Editor is, frankly, a failing piece of crap. Cinerella *might* be what I need but that thing looks so huge and complex that it's a bit daunting.
Any ideas, anyone?

Re: Video Editing Software
by far the best video editing that i have found is http://kdenlive.org/features.php
I have tried cinelerra, lives, jahsahaka, pitivi, kino and even mainactor.
I still use kino for capture..

I must really be doing something wrong because kdenlive is failing hard on me - it crashes repeatedly, and is pretty unwieldly.sam_uk wrote:by far the best video editing that i have found is http://kdenlive.org/features.php

I use it too, I think it's the best linux non-linear video editor; it crashes quite frequently but it always restarts from the point it crashed at.red-e-made wrote:I must really be doing something wrong because kdenlive is failing hard on me - it crashes repeatedly, and is pretty unwieldly.sam_uk wrote:by far the best video editing that i have found is http://kdenlive.org/features.php
