Trying to mount a removable media (500GB USB hard disk) I now get this message:
fuse: failed to access mountpoint <mount point>: No such file or directory
FUSE mount point creation failed
Unmounting /dev/sdf1
Is this as such a problem for the KDE environment, or is it a Beta version problem.
I no use Daryna KDE Beta.

Re: Error - kio_media_mounthelper
I had this same problem in Cassandra kde ce.
I was able to mount my external drives (I have three) by going to system settings,
system administration, disk & filesystems.
(WARNING!!!! this can be dangerous if you don't
know what your doing!!! so, if you try it, make sure you mount the correct drive!!!!!!!!)
anyway, I then logged in as admin, found and selected my external drive in the list, selected new,
then chose ntfs for file system (you would choose your filesystem if not ntfs),
then my mount point (example: /media/storage), for device I went with "by label",
checked enable at startup, checked writable, then for "files belong to user" and "files belong to group"
I chose my user(1000) hit ok, rebooted and my external drive then appeared on my desktop mounted!!
I then one at a time, did this with my other two externals and
they have worked fine ever since.(I've been using Cassandra kde since august.)
keep in mind this worked for me in Cassandra kde. I have not tried daryna kde yet.
ps
if anyone knows a different or easier way to do this I would love to know!!!

Re: Error - kio_media_mounthelper
OK, I was also able to mount the USB disk via the same tool as deadguy, but this can't be the way to do things in a operating system nowadays. I think I have to leave Daryna KDE Beta and wait for the stable version. I guess this is a bug in the Beta version of KDE.
Re: Error - kio_media_mounthelper
I too wish it was easier!
but I love kde so I was willing to tinker a little
the gnome (main) edition detects and mounts my externals on
my other pc. so I figured it was a kde thing??
