I second the replacement of sunbird!
But then again, what's wrong with Orage, the latest version has some really nice features and a clean layout.
Orange is installed by default as well.
Sunbird 0.8 is in the Elyssa repos too.(it takes up 28MBs on the Live CD)

I have always been curious why Sunbird was on it, not Evolution or the Thunderbird with the add on? I do like having email and calendar all in one app. The Sunbird with thunderbird separate kept me away from using the email to much.

Does Evolution take more space, requiring more lib's from gnome? Or is there other reasoning?

Is the 3d desktop being kept out of XFCE 5? ( I like it without the graphics personally, more XFCE / light weight orientated).

Thanks for all the hard work. I wish there was more I could do to help with Mint XFCE, myself and others I know like it far above the mainstream distro (not that that is bad, all mints I have used are great!).

If you like email and calendar in one try looking at Spicebird. http://linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10369
I kept it in the last one since there was space for it and because I like that I can sync with google calendars.
I believe I have everything installed(no pulse audio, it's not in xubuntu and doesn't seem to work when installed) and it 682.4MBs

I am not sure if Evolution takes up more space or not.(i try to keep this close to the main.)

I have compiz fusion installed but not enabled, you use mintDesktop to enable it.(fusion-icon can do this as well)

Is there an ISO / Beta that we can check out? Im drooling waiting, or are you waiting for a solid release of Mint before any Beta XFCE's?

I have to wait to release and beta's until the main is released.
This way everything that is going to change has already.
I am currently on alpha's any way.(make sure all the settings are correct and code changes for mintConfig and mintDesktop)
Then make a check list to make sure everything is working.(also to give to exploder when he has to test XFCE CE)
Also Firefox doesn't have the memory problem anymore.(purged firefox and xulrunner then reinstalled them)

Please include the stock Xubuntu theme on the disc! While I may end up using whatever default you ship, by far my favourite theme on any distro is the default Xubuntu one!

I'm enjoying the Daryna Xfce version now. Can't wait until Elyssa. Merlwiz has done a great job!
Using Mint as primary OS since 2006.

Another request...

My memory is a little sketchy now, but I think I had to install the video thumbnail thing for Thunar manually with the previous version of XFCE Mint. I certainly had to do it with Xubuntu. Since Mint has all the codecs out of the box it would be nice if it also came with the video thumbnailer out of the box as well.

If its in there anyways then my apologies. I cant remember now if I had to install it manually or not but I'm pretty sure I did.

It does have video thumbnails, but to keep it light it's disabled by default.
All you have to do is open mintDesktop and enable it.

To keep my Xfce abstinence away I use Zenwalk full time.
I'm really looking forward to Elyssa Xfce though!
